What makes Berthoud great?
Berthoud celebrates Colorado Cities & Towns week Sept. 14-20
By Surveyor Staff
The Town of Berthoud is participating in Colorado Cities & Towns Week, September 14-20. Sponsored by the Colorado Municipal League, Cities & Towns Week is an opportunity to bring residents, staff and elected officials together to learn more about the importance of local government and show appreciation for municipal employees and volunteers. Through Colorado Cities & Towns Week, municipalities from across the state are participating in activities to showcase and celebrate cities and towns and the many services they provide.
To commemorate Cities & Towns Week, the Town of Berthoud is hosting special events and contests, including a student essay contest, a photo contest, and a display about Berthouds history at the Berthoud Community Library.
All Berthoud-area students are invited to participate in an essay contest around the theme If I were Mayor of a day.
Berthoud residents are welcome to participate in a Cities & Towns Week-themed photo contest by submitting a photo that showcases what makes Berthoud a great place to live.
Essay and photo entries are due at Berthoud Town Hall, Fri. Sept., 18. Three winners will be chosen for each category: one from grades 1-4; one from grades 5-8; one from grades 9-12. Entries can be emailed to [email protected], dropped off at Berthoud Town Hall, located at 328 Massachusetts Avenue, or mailed to: Town of Berthoud, P.O. Box 1229, Berthoud, CO 80513. Photos can also be sent via Facebook message to the Town of Berthoud’s Facebook page.
The Berthoud Community Library, 236 Welch Avenue, will have a special display and collection of books available for viewing to celebrate Berthouds history and local government. Residents are invited to visit the display anytime during normal library hours this week as well.
