Robert Preston Dunlap: June 13, 1962 – June 26, 2015

Robert Preston Dunlap, 53, fought the fight and went home to be with God peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, on June 26, 2015.

​Robert was born in Pueblo on June 13, 1962, to Charles Marshall and Gerry Beth (Davis) Dunlap.

​Robert graduated from Loveland High School in 1980. He married Kathy Ogle on June 11, 1988, and from this union had Devin Robert Dunlap and Whitney Marie Dunlap. Rob became a grandfather; Brooklyn Marie born Oct. 28, 2014, by his daughter Whitney. He was also Grandpa Robbie to Lyndsey, granddaughter to Rob’s girlfriend Vicki Schick.

​Rob was proud of his siblings; David Marshall, Clifford Kevin and wife Kara of Maryland, Bradley Dunlap and wife Traci of Loveland, and Leah Dunlap Neff of Fort Collins; nephews Zachary Dunlap and wife Karly of Denver, Joshua Dunlap and wife Vivian of Greeley, Travis Dunlap and wife Sara of Fort Collins, Megan Renae of Loveland, Christina Dunlap of Maryland, Chelsea Teddrick of Maryland, and Anthony and Everett Neff of Fort Collins. He also had two great-nephews, Dominic Dunlap and Landon.

​Robert had a wonderful work ethic and started helping his father with the family business, Big A Auto Parts, at an early age. He started his owns business, NAPA, in Windsor.

​Rob shared his last four years with his girlfriend Vicki where they lived in Fort Collins. They enjoyed the outdoors and never missed watching the NASCAR races together. Vicki was a very devoted to him and cared for him while his health deteriorated the last few years of his life.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents; namesake Robert Preston and Winifred Dunlap Shouse and step-father Ray Shouse; his grandparents who helped raise him, William David and Marjorie Davis; and his father, Charles Marshall Dunlap who passed away in 1997.

Rob touched many lives. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, July 11 at First Christian Church in Loveland. Online condolences may be made at www.marksfuneralservice.com.
