Obituary – Richard (Dick) Martin
Richard (Dick) Martin passed away on Nov. 27, 2017, at the age of 83 at Berthoud Living Center. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Oct. 6, 1934, the youngest of three sons of Helene and Edward Martin.
Dick was an avid lifelong baseball fan, having grown up in Brooklyn. Always a Dodger fan, he watched the Rockies and wanted them to win; that is as long as they were not playing the Dodgers that day. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Edward.
Surviving are his brother Bill (Roberta) of Fort Collins; nieces Amy and Ann; nephews Matthew and Michael; and grand niece and nephew, Brandon and Ella.
Per Dick’s request, private family services will be held in the spring, where he will return to his favorite fishing spot. The family would like to thank Cindy and the staff at Berthoud Living Center for the care he received as a resident the past 10 years. Also thank you to Ron Stugart, Dick’s special friend, and the Berthoud library for having enough books to satisfy Dick’s passion for reading.
