Hazel Marie Carlson

Hazel Marie Carlson of Loveland, Colo., died Aug. 17, 2018, at Loveland Good Samaritan Village.
Hazel was born March 8, 1924, to Alfred G. and Ida (Hanson) Carlson in Loveland.
She was a graduate of Loveland High School, Colorado A&M (now Colorado State University) and Parks School of Business in Denver, Colo.
For approximately 20 years, Hazel lived and worked in Denver, Colo., first as a preschool teacher and then in the oil industry, mainly at Superior Oil Company.
After returning to Loveland in August of 1964 she was employed at the Berthoud National Bank. Upon the sale of this bank to Centennial Bank of the West, she remained an employee until the end of 2002.
Hazel was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Loveland, Colo.
Her interests included reading, music, agriculture and sports. She enjoyed spending time with relatives and friends.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Hermon, and three sisters; Ruth Bender, Edith Shea Carlson and Helen Swanson.
Survivors include sister, Nancy Llewellyn and husband Mitch, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loveland. Visitation will take place Wednesday from 2-5 p.m. at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home. Interment Loveland Burial Park.
