September 6, 1942 – September 10, 2019

Rosslyn Marian Gruner of Berthoud passed away Sept. 10, 2019, at her childhood home of Dryden, Ontario, Canada. She was born Sept. 6, 1942, in England, to Mack and Glennie Weigle. They moved to Canada where Roz grew up.

She came to the U.S. in the ‘60s and married John Gruner. They were later divorced. She became a registered nurse and worked at Longmont United Hospital until her death.

Roz was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her son Mark Gruner of Berthoud; sister Penny Weigle Bruvell; brothers Casey Weigle(Laura) and Rory Weigle(Patty) all from Ontario, Canada; and many nieces and nephews. She leaves behind many close friends in the Berthoud, Loveland and Longmont area.

Roz loved to travel, visiting many countries around the world with family and friends. England, of course, was her favorite place, where she stayed with her cousin John and his wife Lexie.

Roz and her friend Allison Cross appeared on “Wheel of Fortune” and won.

She was not only a good friend to those who knew her, but was a surrogate grandmother to their grandchildren. Her gift was her caring for those around her.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
