Larimer County Comprehensive Plan ready for review

The plan is a policy document establishing a long-range framework for decision-making, created from extensive community outreach and existing plans with guiding principles, policies and solutions tailored for different areas of Larimer County.

The Larimer County Comprehensive Plan’s planning team and projects stakeholder committee has been working on the plan since 2017.

Larimer County residents will be able to review and comment on the Comprehensive Plan Draft at two events in May. The Comprehensive Plan Draft will also be available online starting May 1, 2019, with the public review and comment period extending through the full month of May.

Loveland: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., May 7, 2019, Larimer County Loveland Campus, 200 Peridot Ave., Loveland, Colo.

Fort Collins: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., May 13, 2019, Larimer County Courthouse Offices Building Hearing Room, First Floor, 200 West Oak St., Fort Collins, Colo.

Residents are also invited to attend the local events or provide their feedback online on the project website by visiting https://larimercompplan.com/comprehensive-plan-draft-review .

The Phase One Mountain Resilience portion of the comprehensive plan was adopted at the end of 2017. Phase two portion of the plan began in January 2018 and is now complete. The comprehensive plan was last updated in 1997.
