UMCOR hosts tornado and flood cleanup July 11

Volunteers are needed for the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), hosting a community work day and debris cleanup. The event will be on Saturday, July 11, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Spend the day outdoors helping the neighborhood cleanup flood and tornado debris along the homes of the Little Thompson River southwest of Berthoud.

Registration for the event will be at the west end of County Road 2 off 83rd Street.

Participants are encouraged to bring a sack lunch, wear work boots, work gloves, and a sun hat. Some water and snacks will be available. Minimum age is 14 years old and those under 18 will need a parent’s signature. RSVP to Deb Campbell at 303-532-7563 or by email at: [email protected].

Directions: Travel south on highway 287 from Berthoud. Turn west at Larimer County road 4. Travel three miles and turn left at County Road 23. Go approximately one mile and turn right on 83rd St. Follow signs to registration.
