Two Thompson School District students ear 2018 Daniels Scholarships

Thompson School District is pleased to announce Alexander Paradise (Berthoud High School) and Brandon Lindsey (Loveland High School) have been named to the 2018 class of Daniels Scholars. The Daniels Scholarship Program provides a four-year annually-renewable college scholarship for graduating high school seniors in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming who demonstrate “exceptional character, leadership, and a commitment to serving their communities.” This year’s class consists of 238 students.
Brandon will be attending Duke University this fall where he will begin studies in economics and finance. Alexander will attend the University of Colorado at Boulder where he will study applied mathematics / pre-medicine.
The Daniels Fund, which was established by cable television pioneer Bill Daniels, is a private charitable foundation dedicated to making life better for the people of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming through its grants program, scholarship program, and ethics initiative. A total of 2,250 students applied for the Daniels Scholarship Program this year. Of the 238 students selected as 2018 Daniels Scholars, 146 are from Colorado, 30 are from New Mexico, 26 are from Utah and 36 are from Wyoming.
