Town of Berthoud hires new town clerk

The Town of Berthoud is pleased to announce it has hired Alisa Darrow as the new town clerk and assistant town manager. Darrow starts her new role on Monday, Oct. 5, 2015. The current town clerk, Mary Cowdin, has worked for the town for more than 30 years and is retiring at the end of 2015.

“I was raised in local government,” said Darrow, “My father and two aunts all are finance directors in local government and I have spent my whole career as a public servant. It is very exciting to start this new job in my hometown.” Darrow most recently was the assistant town administrator for the Town of Wellington. She also has held leadership positions with the Cities of Boulder and Longmont.

Mike Hart, the Town of Berthoud town administrator said, “Alisa brings deep experience and leadership. I look forward to having her represent the town at state and local level meetings and having her at the table assisting trustees and staff with daily and long-term projects.”

Darrow is a graduate of University of Colorado Boulder/Colorado Springs and is completing her Master of Public Administration at University of Colorado Denver.
