The Town of Berthoud, in conjunction with Larimer County, has scheduled three meetings regarding the coordination of the town’s Growth Management Area boundaries defined by Berthoud’s Comprehensive Plan and the jointly adopted Intergovernmental Agreement.

Three meetings are scheduled for May 27, June 2 and June 4.

According to a press release from the Town of Berthoud, the goal of the meetings is to establish a singular GMA boundary that is recognized by both the town and the county, as well as by the residents and property owners within the town limits and surrounding unincorporated area of Berthoud. The release also stated a secondary goal of defining “procedures and practices for developing properties within the agreed upon boundaries.”

Each meeting will focus on specific geographic areas, but residents are invited to attend any meeting regardless of the region being discussed.

The May 27 meeting is scheduled for 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Berthoud High School cafeteria. The meeting will focus on Berthoud’s north and northwest regions, including areas west of old Highway 287 and north of Highway 56.

The June 2 meeting is scheduled for 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Berthoud Community Center. The meeting will focus on Berthoud’s south region, including Highway 56 and south.

The June 4 meeting is scheduled for 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Berthoud Community Center. The meeting will focus on the northeast region, including east of old Highway 287 and north of Highway 56.

Those unable to attend any of the three meetings can submit written comments to Larimer County Community Development Division, P.O. Box 1190, Fort Collins, Co, 80522; Attention: Matt Lafferty, AICP.
