United States Representative Jared Polis, D-Colo., will host a town hall meeting in Berthoud on Saturday, Aug. 8 from noon-2 p.m. at the Berthoud Community Center located at 248 Welch Avenue.

Polis visited with constituents last August during a similar visit to Berthoud. Polis’ stop this Saturday is the second in a three-stop tour that day that includes Fort Collins and Broomfield. Polis did similar town halls in Breckenridge and Vail on Aug. 5. The Berthoud event is on the front end of a month long tour of Colorado’s 2nd district that will wrap up on Aug. 29 in Lafayette.

In an email announcement of the tour, Polis said that the best ideas come from you, not from Washington, D.C. lobbyists.

“I hope you are able to join us at one of our upcoming public events to share your thoughts on improving our country,” the message stated.

The message included topics of discussion regarding public schools, access to affordable higher education, and an innovation-based economy that creates good-paying jobs for hard-working Colorado families.
