Gearing up for 61st annual Berthoud Day this Saturday

The Berthoud Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to host the 61th annual Berthoud Day celebration.

Events include a pancake breakfast hosted by the Boy Scouts Troop 6, a 5K run hosted by Berthoud Habitat for Humanity, Northern Colorado’s best parade in the annual Berthoud Day Parade, in addition to the numerous children’s activities, vendors, food, beer and entertainment all at Berthoud Town Park.

Scheduled bands include the 101st Army Dixieland Band from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m., Woody Procell & the Snowy River Band from 2:30 – 5:30 p.m., and the Steve Thomas Band from 6:30 – 9 p.m.

The pancake breakfast hosted by Boy Scout Troop 6 begins at 6:30 a.m. at Third Street and Mountain Avenue in the Lions Club Depot building; cost is $7 for adults and $4 for kids 12-and-under.

Next up is the Habitat for Humanity 5K Run that begins at 8 a.m. in Fickel Park.

Northern Colorado’s best parade begins at 11 a.m. on Second Street, turns on to Mountain Avenue to Eighth Street.

Entertainment begins at noon in Berthoud Town Park.

Go back in time to watch the Berthoud Blues Base Ball game in the open field between Eighth Street and 10th Street south of Welch Avenue and next to the Ivy Stockwell Elementary School playground. The first pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
