Recreation center plans move forward

The Berthoud Board of Trustees held
a split session on Tuesday evening with a
study session preceded by a special meeting. The meeting began at 6 p.m. due to
what was considered to be a heavier than
usual agenda.
During the special meeting the trustees
tackled six agenda items.

Calendar quandaries

The Thompson School District’s efforts
to finalize a 2012/2013 calendar will
finally go before a vote this week, and
community members showed up at last
week’s meeting to voice their opinions
and concerns. Although the special meeting
is expected to take place shortly after
the story goes to press, the pursuit of this
decision is worth following.
After compiling feedback on the district
website, the designated staff submitted
a calendar for the board to consider —
and they responded with disappointment.
Their wishes, which echoed the community’s,
were more choices with a later
start date and the potential elimination of
early release Wednesdays.
