Warrant issued for suspect for illegal marijuana cultivation

The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s help in locating Mario Robert Garcia who is wanted on charges including; criminal extortion,, money laundering, second degree burglary, and possession with intent to distribute marijuana and cultivation of marijuana, all felonies, among other charges.

The Sheriff’s office released a statement this morning that states Garcia is the focus of an ongoing criminal investigation involving threats and extortion to take control of a Larimer County homeowner’s property for the purpose of illegally growing marijuana. However, due to the active nature of the investigation, no further details were available.

Garcia, 35, is 5′,9″ and weighs 190 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. Garcia also goes by the names of: Mario Roberto Garcia, Mario Moses Garcia, Nick Garcia, Ponce Garcia, Nick Ponce, and Nick Marcia.

The Sheriff’s office requests anyone with knowledge of Garcia’s whereabouts contact local law enforcement, the Sheriff’s Office at 970-416-1985, or Crime Stoppers at 970-221-6868 where you will remain anonymous and possibly be eligible for a cash reward.
